Job Overview

The Retail Leadership Trainee (RLT) role is a development-oriented position aimed at equipping you for a managerial role within CVS. This program is structured to foster your growth as a future leader in our retail environment.

The RLT initiative is crafted to enhance your career trajectory towards a management position. We facilitate your development through a self-directed, collaborative training program lasting 16 weeks.

Our comprehensive training includes both virtual and practical learning experiences designed to cultivate your leadership abilities. You will receive support from a dedicated team, including your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager mentor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to guide and support your team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth.
  • Oversee store inventory and assets to ensure profitability.

We are committed to your professional development and expect our RLTs to:

  • Actively participate in Key Learning Experiences with your leader to facilitate your promotion during the structured program.
  • Contribute as a member of the management team, leading in alignment with CVS values and policies.
  • Engage colleagues in support of the company’s mission to assist individuals on their journey to better health.
  • Be open to promotional opportunities within the market you serve.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to accept a promotion to a managerial role at any location within the designated market.
  • Ability to transfer to other CVS locations within the designated market.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
  • High School diploma or GED.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:

CVS Health mandates that all employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster shots if required, unless an exemption is approved based on disability, medical condition, or religious belief. Proof of vaccination status must be provided within the first 10 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in retail management or as a CVS Supervisor.
