We are seeking a skilled Systems Commissioning Specialist to join our team at KFI Engineers PC. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will play a crucial role in supporting successful execution of commissioning, re/retro-commissioning (RCx), and energy audit projects.

About the Role

In this position, you will report to the Commissioning Project Manager and support the development of projects and reports, as well as execute field activities. You will have a strong attention to detail, effective communication and influencing skills, and be self-directed with the ability to thrive in an environment where consultation and collaboration lead to superior outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Field Task Execution: Perform Cx/RCx functional testing of HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems, including TAB measurements and processes in new construction and retro-commissioning applications.
  • Reporting: Provide technical write-ups to capture field findings, participate in construction and/or commissioning meetings, and document representative notes on action items and responsibilities.
  • Project Management: Complete assigned tasks within budgets provided by Project Managers, develop system construction checklists and functional performance test scripts, and review and comment on equipment submittals related to commissioned systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in direct HVAC, building operations, or construction fields.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
  • Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application, including MS Office.

Bonus: Estimated Salary Range

$55,000 - $70,000 per year, based on location and experience.
