Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a detail-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team at the University of Washington Medical Center. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing excellent care to our patients by performing a variety of pharmaceutical tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Responsibilities:
Prepare medications from physician orders or pharmacy-generated labels in single-dose packaging, including compounded sterile products and extemporaneously prepared doses.
Load and refill PYXIS automated dispensing cabinets.
Deliver medications to nursing units, clinics, and procedural areas, and return discontinued medications in a timely manner.
Package medications into single-unit packages and perform bulk packaging of medications, including batch preparation of compounded sterile products.
Ensure medications are in-date and complete monthly outdate checking assignments.
Perform routine computer functions, including charge/credits and label generation.
Obtain patient medication lists and transcribe them into medication reconciliation databases.
Requirements:
Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or equivalent education/experience.
State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification.
