Job Summary:

The Civil Engineering Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with clients to determine project requirements and review project proposals to determine time frames, fees, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the project and arrange for assignment of personnel.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budgets.
  • Review project status with project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required, communicating with management, clients, or others regarding status updates and schedule changes.
  • Prepare and review design calculations and project construction documents for compliance with project scope and development regulations.
  • Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, and government regulatory agencies.
  • Understand and promote site safety requirements for construction sites.
  • Support and communicate with other team members throughout all stages of the design and construction process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Valid discipline-specific license in Virginia is required.
  • Valid Virginia driver's license is required.
