Seattle Children's seeks a highly skilled Critical Care Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team in Medina, Washington. As a critical care float nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to families in the ICU, CICU, and NICU units.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) registered nurse who has the skills to work in multiple areas of the PICU including the CVICU, MICU and PICU. The ideal candidate will have excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

The RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and guidelines of care. Responsible for providing safe, family-centered patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a collaborative method with the patient and patient's family, significant others, and members of the health care team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Prior experience in a pediatric related healthcare setting or a specific area of nursing may be required for specific departments
  • Current Washington State RN License or other current state license that the RN is required to work in
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
