Nurse Specialist

About this Role
As a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care. Your responsibilities will include assessing, monitoring, and treating patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal outcomes in the Step Down Unit setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- Two years of recent Step Down experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
