We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Take radiologic films to provide quality images to physicians for diagnosis of medical problems.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Prevent patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
- Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and other areas.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 3 months of hire date required.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts within 3 months of hire date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
