Newborn Hearing Screen Specialist

At Pediatrix, we are seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns.
Responsibilities
- Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, providing accurate and timely results to parents and medical staff.
- Verify insurance information and document hearing screen results, ensuring compliance with hospital and company policies.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submission of billing.
- Follow protocol for security and identification of infants, adhering to infection control and safety awareness guidelines.
- Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, prioritizing patient care and safety.
- Complete company and hospital orientation, including patient privacy training, and maintain employee health requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the success of our team.
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants and in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry are required.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments, working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays is required.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
