About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of behavioral health services across our system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment for behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and recommending the most appropriate treatment setting.
  • Work closely with clinical leaders systemwide to support efficient behavioral health throughput, from admission to discharge.
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve access and disposition planning, leveraging data analytics and clinical expertise.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster effective change management and ensure seamless integration of new workflows and data reporting requirements.
  • Manage projects and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve system-wide goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts, required.
  • 5 years of inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department experience, required.
  • 5 years of nurse leader experience, such as flow coordinator, access nurse, bed control, supervisor in a psychiatric setting, inpatient behavioral health charge nurse or clinical coordinator.
  • Experience with data analytics and project management, preferred.
