About This Role:
K-State Salina's Aerospace and Technology Campus is in search of skilled Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) to enhance our dedicated team of aviation educators. The Senior Flight Training Specialist role encompasses the instruction of private pilot, instrument pilot, commercial pilot, flight instructor, and additional training as assigned by the Chief Flight Instructor.

Our state-of-the-art fleet includes 35 aircraft and advanced flight training devices, conveniently located near a bustling regional airport.
Students engage in training for various certifications and ratings, progressing from solo flights to commercial operations on a wide array of aircraft, starting with Cessna 172s and advancing to more sophisticated models like Barons. As a FAR 141 approved program, students can fulfill the commercial instrument minimum flight hour requirement of 190 hours instead of the standard 250 hours.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Three years of relevant experience
- Must possess FAA Certified Flight Instructor (Single-Engine Land) (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) Certificates upon employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 500+ hours of dual instruction with 7+ students recommended for FAA check rides and an 80% first attempt pass rate
- Additional ratings and/or endorsements
- Two years of flight instructor experience
- Detailed documentation of training records
- Strong commitment to safety practices, procedures, and culture
