About the Role

M&M Excavating is a family-owned and operated heavy-highway contractor seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. As the face and voice of the M&M office, this role will be responsible for executing daily administrative tasks, including payroll processing, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, verify, and process weekly payroll
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Maintain personnel records and assist with onboarding new hires
  • Assist Project Management with job-related tasks
  • Work with management on special projects as assigned
  • Order, stock, and distribute office supplies
  • Develop and maintain employee appreciation programs
  • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintain and update files, records, certificates, and/or other documents
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred)
  • Experience in payroll processing is required
  • Experience in Foundation Software is a plus, but is not required
  • Familiarity with construction is preferred, but is not required
  • Strong Computer, Communication & Organizational Skills
  • Basic knowledge of construction administration and a willingness to learn
  • Work ethic focused on loyalty, quality, pride, & integrity
