Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:

Assists patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and toileting. Supports meal preparation and feeding, monitors food and fluid intake, and ensures the comfort of bedridden patients through regular repositioning. Maintains a clean and organized patient environment, responds to patient calls, and prepares rooms for admissions and discharges. Communicates effectively with patients and their families, particularly those facing emotional challenges. Observes and reports significant changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.

Additional Responsibilities:

Follows directions from nursing staff in providing care for patients undergoing medical or surgical treatments. Monitors and reports changes in vital signs and patient behavior. Ensures proper identification for tests and assists in emergency situations. Aids in diagnostic examinations by preparing patients and maintaining a sterile environment.

Records vital signs and other relevant patient information accurately. Educates patients and families on health care procedures and promotes adherence to treatment plans.

Work Schedule: Varying shifts available seven days a week.

Telework: Not available.

Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Urinalysis screening for illegal drug use is mandatory prior to appointment.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

  • Background/security investigation is necessary.
  • Completion of an online onboarding process is required.
  • Pre-employment physical examination is mandatory.
  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required for all health care personnel.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

English Language Proficiency: Must demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written English.

Education or Training: Completion of one year above high school with relevant courses or an intensive nursing assistant course may fulfill experience requirements.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting and moving patients, and the ability to distinguish colors and shades.
