Position Overview

The CT Imaging Technician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position requires proficiency in operating CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including routine and specialized examinations, adhering to departmental protocols and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear explanations of procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain equipment functionality through regular quality assurance checks and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in clerical duties, including managing patient records and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry standards and practices.
Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a CT technologist within the last two years, or six months in an acute care setting within the past year.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Oregon Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License or Washington Registered Radiologic Technologist License required at hire.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification in Computed Tomography required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with helical and multi-detector CT technology.
  • Attendance at relevant training courses in CT and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
