The Orchard is seeking a proactive Financial Strategy Analyst to enhance our expanding Finance department. In this role, you will spearhead the organization’s essential financial forecasting and reporting efforts, collaborating closely with senior leadership and departmental heads to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust history of delivering high-quality analyses in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously while ensuring excellent communication.
This position will operate under a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Business Unit Leaders to grasp the primary drivers of the business and deliver pertinent and dependable financial insights to support high-level strategic decision-making.
- Facilitate strategic decision-making in a dynamic environment through insightful and well-articulated ad-hoc analyses.
- Assist in managing the bi-annual budgeting process, offering functional support and valuable thought partnership with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Create, maintain, and automate monthly variance and KPI reports, in addition to quarterly board materials.
- Support the executive team on special initiatives including fundraising, new product launches, market entries, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2-4+ years of experience in strategic finance, financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity.
- Ability to navigate complex and often ambiguous analytical challenges without a predefined guide.
- Experience in developing precise three-statement financial models and reporting packages with meticulous attention to detail, ideally within a high-growth environment.
- Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) that enable you to cultivate collaborative relationships across various departments.
- Capability to identify opportunities and drive projects from conception to completion with minimal oversight.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Google Workspace, Netsuite, and Looker is advantageous.
The salary range for this role is $100-$120k/year, with actual base pay varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include stock options and other incentive pay, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
