Position Overview

The Grounds Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the upkeep and enhancement of the outdoor areas surrounding a facility. Responsibilities include planting, mowing, weeding, repairing outdoor structures, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of the property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine grounds maintenance and facility upkeep tasks.
  • Mow lawns manually or with powered equipment.
  • Trim and edge lawns and shrubs using various tools.
  • Enhance landscapes by planting flowers, grasses, and shrubs.
  • Utilize pesticides for pest control on the grounds.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including repairing irrigation systems and other equipment.
  • Clear walkways of debris and maintain cleanliness.
  • Remove hazardous tree limbs.
  • Manage shrub trimming and weed removal.
  • Conduct minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Set up outdoor furniture as needed.
  • Rake, mulch, and prune as necessary to maintain grounds.
  • Install landscaping features such as rocks, lighting, and water elements.
  • Water plants and grass, applying fertilizers as required.
  • Ensure the grounds are tidy and free from litter.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures established by JRNL TWO BUNCH PALMS LLC.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Desire to learn all facets of the grounds maintenance role.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
