Job Title: Senior Data Center Developer

National Grid Renewables is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Center Developer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Data Center Developer will be responsible for leading the development of new data center projects, managing risks, and driving project schedules and budgets. This role will also involve collaborating with peers to deliver clean energy data center solutions, working with commercial and finance teams to prepare financial models, and interfacing with engineering and construction teams to ensure project deliverability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of new data center projects, including market targeting and evaluation, and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with peers to deliver clean energy data center solutions.
  • Work with commercial and finance teams to prepare financial models and evaluate new technologies.
  • Interface with engineering and construction teams to ensure project deliverability.
  • Coordinate with transmission and real estate departments to site strategic points of interconnection and manage state, federal, and local permitting efforts.
  • Represent National Grid Renewables with federal, state, and local officials, regulators, utilities, transmission operators, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage external consultants, contractors, and/or land agents, and maintain strong relationships with project landowners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of project development experience in data centers or a relatable industry, with demonstrated knowledge of data center market.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on large-scale industrial development projects.
  • Prior experience with public speaking or presentations is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate understanding of real property interests and project constraints is preferred.
