Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer 2 to spearhead a significant migration initiative from SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex migration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the migration effort, ensuring a seamless transition from SharePoint on-premises (potentially SP 2019) to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
  • Formulate and implement a detailed migration strategy encompassing planning, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Evaluate the existing SharePoint environment, pinpoint migration necessities, and develop comprehensive migration timelines.
  • Engage with IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users to collect requirements and guarantee alignment with organizational goals.
  • Configure SharePoint Online and M365 settings to ensure peak performance and integration with other systems.
  • Establish best practices for governance, security, and compliance within SharePoint Online.
  • Offer technical direction and support to the project team and end-users throughout the migration journey.
  • Track migration progress, resolve issues, and ensure prompt solutions.
  • Conduct post-migration assessments to refine processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Remain updated on SharePoint Online and M365 advancements, assessing and recommending new technologies as necessary.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in SharePoint Online administration, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Expertise in migrating SharePoint from on-premises environments to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 applications and their integration with SharePoint Online.
  • Demonstrated experience as a SharePoint Administrator or Lead, particularly in migration projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SharePoint architecture, infrastructure, and best practices.

Certification Requirements:
Must possess IAT Level II certification and CompTIA Security+ CE.

Experience:
High School diploma or GED with 19 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience.

Clearance Requirement:
Position requires TS/SCI FS poly.

This position necessitates a TS/SCI clearance.
