Job Title: Multi-Craft HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

Emcor Inc is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Craft HVAC Technician to join our team. As a Multi-Craft HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for providing preventative care and repairs for HVAC systems and installation of HVAC systems by performing a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and Troubleshoot Problems: Help identify problems with heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial customers.
  • Examine and Diagnose Equipment: Carefully examine the equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Repair and Replace Equipment: Assist HVAC foreman in the repair or replacement of defective equipment, mechanical components, or wiring within the HVAC system.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment.
  • Inspect HVAC Systems: Inspect HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
  • Record Keeping: Keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions, to include invoices.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment, tools, and HVAC resources.
  • Installation of HVAC Systems: Perform all aspects of installation of HVAC systems.
  • Additional Skills: Additional skills in other crafts will be necessary to meet our customers' needs and will be expected in this role.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience required.
  • Certifications: Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required.
  • Licenses: Must hold state HVAC technician license.
  • Education: Certification or associate's degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand.
  • Driver's License: Must hold state driver's license.
  • Punctuality: Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations.
Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
