ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Project Engineer I, you will operate under the mentorship of an Engineer Level II or Senior Engineer, contributing your engineering expertise to various projects, tendering processes, engineering assessments, and offshore engineering activities. Adherence to project timelines, engineering standards, and contractual commitments is essential. You will typically collaborate within a team and may be called upon to offer technical insights and engineering support to other departments within the organization.

All team members are expected to foster a positive Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) culture at Subsea 7, ensuring compliance with local HSEQ regulations and practices.

Moreover, every employee is encouraged to uphold a culture of ethics and integrity at Subsea 7, demonstrating familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
  • Provide foundational skills, integrity, and knowledge in discipline-specific engineering, including design regulations, legal requirements, and established engineering practices. Understand client requirements; address design parameters and challenges; devise and implement effective solutions.
  • Under direct supervision, participate in the creation of deliverables, which may encompass engineering assistance to the Drawing Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid assessments, study documentation, and various third-party submissions.
  • Generate technical documentation, taking personal accountability for its quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain awareness of all pertinent safety objectives and legal obligations.
  • Engage in meetings and correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and third parties in a technical role.
  • Support junior engineers and graduates as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel - minimum of 25% onshore and offshore.
  • Ability to successfully complete a UKOOA physical assessment and BOSIET training.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
  • Professional qualifications - Engineering Degree (Relevant experience in a similar capacity will also be considered)
  • Understanding of marine classification and local regulations (Essential)
  • Proven ability to operate within time and budget constraints
  • Present oneself in a professional manner suitable for the role
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively
  • Ability to assist in package engineering and management
