Job Summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a skilled Hazmat Driver/Applicator to join our team in Havre. This hybrid role involves delivering products to customers and applying fertilizer to customer fields. As a local position, drivers are home daily, with deliveries taking place Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Opportunities for overtime are available during busy seasons, particularly in the spring and fall.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely deliveries to customers in a safe, professional manner.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Assist in the warehouse when not delivering products.
  • Work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Identify and communicate workplace hazards, correcting or seeking assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.
  • Apply fertilizer and crop protection products under general supervision, potentially using high-clearance sprayers or floaters.
  • Educate customers on products being applied, techniques utilized, and how to continue supporting them with products and services.
Requirements
  • Class A or B CDL
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Meet minimum age requirement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements
  • Meet DOT and Company requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • Bulk liquid experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel
