Position Overview

This role reports to the Senior Manager of International Tax and is responsible for overseeing Abbott's compliance with newly implemented OECD Pillar 2 regulations across various jurisdictions. This position demands a thorough understanding of the OECD Pillar 2 model rules, relevant legislation, and tax accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Abbott's tax compliance processes in accordance with OECD Pillar 2 legislation.
  • Ensure adherence to international tax reporting and compliance obligations.
  • Maintain an updated tax calendar for compliance responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with local Finance Directors to meet compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly Pillar 2 models.
  • Monitor global tax legislation and assess its implications for Abbott.
  • Coordinate with various Abbott divisions to ensure efficient data collection for compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance to tax compliance teams.
  • Oversee external advisors, including tax attorneys and accounting firms.
  • Mentor team members on new OECD Pillar 2 tax legislation.
Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA, MST, or JD with LLM in taxation is preferred.

Experience:
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of tax experience with a multinational corporation or tax consulting firm.
  • Strong expertise in income tax and tax accounting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international tax principles.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret tax regulations and assess their global impact.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.
