Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, safe, and accessible care.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our ICU provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care
  • Oversee other assigned team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years critical care nursing experience, preferred
  • CPR training required within first 3 months of employment
Physical Environment:

The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.

Physical Standards of Job Description:
  • Constantly – 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity
  • Frequently – 25% to 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity
  • Occasionally – 5% to 25% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity
  • Rarely – under 5% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity
