About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Children's Home Network. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for delivering RAISE services utilizing a broad range of interventions, community services, and natural support systems.

Job Summary

This position involves working collaboratively with families to support children with academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs through observation of parent-child interaction and utilization of motivational interviewing techniques. You will work with parents/caregivers and teachers to design and implement individualized intervention services that best fit the specific needs of the children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide intervention services up to 20-25 assigned families
  • Participate in Family Team Conferences
  • Collaborate and coordinate activities with each family to develop and monitor Family Support Plans
  • Conduct observations of parent-child interactions and utilize Motivational Interviewing techniques through a Trauma Informed Care lens to identify strengths and challenges
  • Complete assessments and design interventions that address the academic, mental health, and social-emotional needs of the child and will be monitored on the Family Support Plan
  • Develop behavioral plans and provide tools and best practices to support parents/caregivers and monitors progress during service provision
  • Coordinate with the Parent Coach existing and added services to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Coordinate independent contractors or specialists and monitors quality and compliance with service provisions and effectiveness
  • Participate in the organization's performance and quality improvement efforts
  • Ensure staff fully utilizes agency MIS system and is responsible for integrity of data
  • Works within the philosophy and function of the Children's Home Network

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling field from an accredited university with at least five (5) years' clinical experience working with children and families
  • A valid Florida driver's license with no record of criminal driving offense or license suspension
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • The ability to successfully complete and maintain FDLE clearance, Federal background and state criminal background check, and sexual predator screening

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
