Key Responsibilities- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of manufacturing equipment, automated work cells, and assembly lines, ensuring seamless integration with our New Product Development (NPD) processes.
- Collaborate with NPD: Assess product requirements and ensure compatibility with manufacturing processes, driving initiatives related to new product launches, manufacturing process improvements, and automation technologies.
- Drive Automation Initiatives: Oversee future state automation projects to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve overall process efficiency, contributing to future plant layout planning and capacity management.
- Manage Capital Equipment: Evaluate and determine the capital equipment needs for new projects, ensuring proper project process flows, and manage annual capital budgeting and secure funding for future projects.
- Project Management: Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently and deadlines are met, creating and implementing processes for equipment acquisition, validation, factory acceptance testing, and process repeatability.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 10+ years of engineering management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with 7-10 years of project management experience in custom automation equipment deployment, from concept to completion.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge in areas such as welding (manual and robotic), assembly, material handling automation, and sheet metal processing, with expertise in software tools like Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Leadership: Ability to read prints and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances, with a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic operating systems.
