Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is a critical member of our team at Memorial MRI & Diagnostic, responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and performing high-quality diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies. As an MRI Technologist, you will work closely with our medical team to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses, while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Diagnostic Imaging: Independently perform high-quality diagnostic studies on all MRI systems, adhering to specified protocols for routine, specialty, and research studies. Assist in developing and evaluating new technical procedures and products.
  2. Patient Care: Maintain the integrity of sterile fields as required, utilizing and understanding MRI coils, injectors, and monitors. Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate, including patient billing information.
  3. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a working knowledge of PACS, computer systems, and hospital information systems. Responsible for orienting, training, and monitoring new employees in all aspects of the equipment, MRI, Radiology, and the hospital, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  4. Quality Assurance: Troubleshoot MRI equipment, contact vendors as needed, and maintain accurate records of equipment failure. Properly review patient medical information prior to imaging, assist in patient teachings, and monitor each patient to ensure quality patient care.
  5. MR Safety: Consistently apply MR safety procedures in accordance with prescribed standards for any individual entering the magnetic field. Follow all safety rules while on the job, reporting accidents promptly and correcting minor safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Education: High School or GED, Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Experience: 1 year of MRI experience preferred.
  • Certifications: ARRT certified and licensed by TDH; MRI registry preferred; current CPR required.
