Position Overview:

Training Program:

Successful candidates will participate in a comprehensive training program that spans 25 weeks at the Law Enforcement Academy. Upon completion, trainees will advance to the classification of Law Enforcement Officer, with opportunities for additional compensation based on qualifications:

  • Intermediate POST Certification: 5% additional pay
  • Advanced POST Certification: 7.5% additional pay

Responsibilities:

  • Use of Force and Weaponry
  • Legal Framework and Evidence
  • Patrol Techniques

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Selected candidates will undergo a thorough background check and medical screening as part of the pre-employment process. All candidates must adhere to the standards set forth by the Commission for Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
