Position Overview:

The San Diego Medical Examiner's Office is seeking motivated individuals for the role of Law Enforcement Officer Trainee. This position is designed for candidates who are eager to embark on a fulfilling career in law enforcement.

Training Program:

Successful candidates will participate in a comprehensive training program that spans 25 weeks at the Law Enforcement Academy. Upon completion, trainees will advance to the classification of Law Enforcement Officer, with opportunities for additional compensation based on qualifications:

  • Intermediate POST Certification: 5% additional pay
  • Advanced POST Certification: 7.5% additional pay

Responsibilities:

  • Use of Force and Weaponry
  • Legal Framework and Evidence

Minimum Qualifications:
