POSITION SUMMARY
As an Automotive Service Technician at Big O Tires, you will be responsible for executing service and installation tasks related to our products and services with precision and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Encourage sales by effectively communicating the advantages of our services and products
- Maintain professional and timely communication with management, staff, suppliers, and customers
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to your supervisor
- Safely operate customer vehicles, both automatic and manual
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks; install, rotate, and balance tires; and ensure proper wheel torque
- Unload transport vehicles and inspect returned tires for necessary adjustments
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized, following company standards
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Utilize company checklists to ensure compliance with policies and expectations
- ASE Certification is required
- Availability to work during holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to grasp new concepts and utilize technical materials
- Proficient in operating computers and other office equipment
- Capability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely
- Willingness to handle hazardous materials and work in various weather conditions
- Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
- Capacity to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must meet company standards, including successful completion of pre-employment screenings
- Valid driver's license is mandatory
