Position Summary
The Claims Recovery (Project) Assistant will be an integral part of the Antitrust Practice Group, providing essential support to paralegals and attorneys within the Claims Recovery team. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance professional skills while gaining valuable experience in the legal field. A minimum billing requirement of 1600 hours annually is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research using publicly available resources (such as company websites and financial documents); compile, summarize, and present findings.
- Assist in the creation, organization, and maintenance of claims information and status updates for various ongoing cases.
- Review matter documents for inconsistencies, resolve issues following standard procedures, or return incomplete documents to the supervising paralegal or attorney for further examination.
- Oversee workflow for specific matters as assigned.
- Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, including letters and memos.
- Provide data entry support on litigation databases and Excel spreadsheets.
- Assist in quality assurance of team outputs, including reviewing assignments completed by colleagues.
- Maintain and prepare databases and spreadsheets.
- Support the team with data collection and analysis as required.
- Contribute to team objectives by delivering accurate results in a timely manner.
- Assist with additional tasks as directed by case teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with personnel at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and complex environment to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to convey information with tact and courtesy, and to follow instructions from a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.
- Meticulous attention to detail, including exceptional spelling and grammar.
- Capability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts regarding routine non-legal matters.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a friendly and cooperative manner to fulfill job responsibilities and contribute to team efforts.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite to produce high-quality written communications such as memos, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Moderate typing proficiency.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
Experience
One year of relevant legal or administrative experience is required, during which the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities were developed and demonstrated.

We are committed to equitable compensation practices in accordance with applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $55,000 per year, with potential additional compensation in the form of a discretionary bonus. Salary may vary based on location, market data, applicant skills, prior experience, and other relevant factors.
