The Maintenance Manager provides strategic leadership and direction for the maintenance effort in support of the plant's production plans. This role is responsible for improving asset utilization, uptime, and production by implementing proven professional maintenance and reliability improvement processes.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve asset utilization, uptime, and production.
- Maintenance Team Management: Manage the maintenance team, including hiring, supervising, and developing team members.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment, buildings, and grounds are maintained and operational to company standards.
- Customer Support: Provide responsive and proactive maintenance support to all plant customers.
- Department Budgeting: Manage department budgeting, including maintenance and repair cost centers, building, parts, outside services, and departmental labor.
- Capital Projects: Manage plant-level capital projects.
- Utility Consumption: Seek methods to reduce utility consumption.
- Troubleshooting: Assist and support mechanics with machine troubleshooting and technical expertise.
- Loss Reduction: Champion and drive reduction of losses through breakdown analysis and other continuous improvement tools.
- Parts Acquisition: Oversee all parts acquisition activities and maintain a compliant stockroom operation.
- EHS Program: Participate in and support the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Nine plus years of technical, mechanical, maintenance, or engineering experience, and four years of supervisory experience.
- Skills: ISO or other management system experience, and a working knowledge of national, state, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, safety, environment, and emergency management.
