Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Medical Technologists, Medical Lab Scientists, and Medical Technicians to join our team at Health First.
Job Summary:As a Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Scientist, or Medical Technician at Health First, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing and providing quality results to support patient care. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with our clinical team to ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities:- Perform laboratory testing and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to provide timely and accurate results to support patient care.
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and techniques.
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Medical Technologist licensure by the State of Florida and in accordance with CLIA guidelines.
- Appropriate certification by the ASCP or other similar accrediting agencies preferred.
- Excellent human relations skills, organizational skills, and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays when needed, and may be required to take call.

- Visual acuity and manual dexterity to perform clinical/technical tasks.
- Must pass color blindness test.
- Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (2-3 hours).
- Must be able to sit and operate a computer.
