Broadcast Operations Coordinator

Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Broadcast Operations Coordinator. This position will be responsible for assisting with all engineering and broadcast operations for the athletics department, including ACC Network (ACCN) and In-Venue Experience (IVX). The successful candidate will provide support alongside the Chief Engineer and Assistant Director of Engineering for HokieVision, as well as maintenance and service of all broadcast, camera, and videoboard display equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the logistical aspects of equipment to various venues to ensure proper coverage of all home athletics events.
  • Set up, test, and troubleshoot equipment prior to events.
  • Train students on the proper use of equipment and best practices for maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless broadcast operations.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of control room environment (video switchers, graphics platforms, LED displays and components, replay systems, broadcast cameras).
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
