Fitness Studio General Manager Job Overview
The Fitness Studio General Manager plays a crucial role in achieving sales objectives, ensuring membership renewals, and meeting additional service targets through strategic outreach to potential customers, in-club engagement, and fostering member referrals.
Reporting to a Franchise Owner and supported by the Corporate Team, the General Manager is expected to demonstrate exemplary leadership across all business operations.
Building strong relationships with both prospective and existing members is essential for cultivating a robust community and enhancing member retention.
This role is deeply rooted in hospitality, aligning with our mission to create vibrant communal experiences.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years in retail/service sales or fitness sales.
- Proficient in driving personal sales and mentoring Sales Representatives.
- Ability to manage and optimize two revenue streams: memberships and retail.
- Fluency in English with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and through various communication channels.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and diverse environment.
- A keen eye for identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective changes.
- A genuine passion for fitness.
- Strong writing and grammar capabilities.
- Highly organized with expertise in data management, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
- Professional demeanor, punctuality, reliability, and neatness.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Trustworthiness and ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and the public.
- Proficient in computer use and familiar with studio management software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Engage in targeted marketing initiatives to attract potential members.
- Lead Management: Utilize the LASER process to convert leads into memberships.
- Membership Development: Establish rapport and long-lasting relationships with all members.
- Achieve a minimum of 15 new memberships each month.
- Retain current members and actively engage them to generate referrals.
- Address member concerns with a solutions-oriented approach promptly.
- Front Desk/Sales Team Management: Recruit and train new Front Desk/Sales personnel.
- Oversee Front Desk/Sales scheduling.
- Monitor Front Desk/Sales Team performance and drive results.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the Studio Owner to establish financial targets on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.
- Conduct regular planning sessions to ensure financial goals are achieved.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean and organized studio environment.
- Ensure all technology is functioning correctly and submit maintenance requests as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses. Additional commission opportunities are available based on sales achievements.
