Emergency Department Nurse

MaineGeneral Health is a comprehensive non-profit system with a mission to enhance the health of our patients, families, and communities. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville.
The Role:
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

This position is 36 hours per week and requires weekend and holiday rotation, as well as cross-training to the Alfond Center for Health ED in Augusta.
The Work:
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. You will also triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources, and collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care.
You Have:
Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion. At least 2 years of RN experience, preferred. Prior/recent RN experience working in an ER environment, strongly preferred. Preferred certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, and TNCC.
