The Role:

We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville. As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, ensuring optimal outcomes and maximizing available resources.

The Opportunity:

This is a 36-hour per week night shift position with weekend and holiday rotation requirements. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.

The Work:
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
Requirements:
  • Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion.
  • At least 2 years of RN experience, preferred.
  • Prior/recent RN experience working in an ER environment, strongly preferred.
  • Preferred certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, and TNCC.
