Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sybase Database Administrator to join our team at RTA US. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems, providing expert guidance and support to our application teams, and implementing database solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain Sybase database systems to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to application teams on database-related issues, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Develop and implement database solutions that meet business requirements, including data modeling, schema design, and data migration.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize system performance.
  • Ensure data security and integrity by implementing robust security measures, including access controls, encryption, and backup and recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize database-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to improve database systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Sybase database administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and schema design.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and backup and recovery procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
