Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting
- Document patient care, observations, and responses on appropriate tools or forms
- Take vital signs, height, and weight, and record in CPRS according to policy and procedure
- Identify, report, and document medication errors/discrepancies, reactions, and side effects immediately
- Provide patient education for common disease processes, medications, and treatment regimens
- Promote performance improvement initiatives, identify problems, collect data, and support change
- Maintain stock levels of supplies and medications
- Assist with treatments and procedures
- Document appropriately
- Active, full, current, and unrestricted licensure as a Graduate Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico), of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Graduation from a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
- One year of experience as an LPN or LVN, or completion of at least 24 months of education in a nursing program
- One year of LPN experience
- Experience in outpatient/specialty clinics
The work requires physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, stretching, and lifting moderately heavy items. The work requires above-average agility and dexterity.
