About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Plant Systems Engineer to join our team at Client Resources, Inc. as part of our Connected Shop Floor program. This is a hybrid in-office and remote position based in Marshall, Missouri.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in product delivery, ensuring the development of new services results in a seamless experience for business owners using Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and delivery managers to understand data, information, analytics, and business intelligence requirements.
  • Implement Azure solutions to ensure conformity with Architecture and business needs within manufacturing and the Connected Shop Floor program.
  • Partner with Information Security and Supply Chain Engineering to create the Digital Plant strategy and process for Operations Technology systems.
  • Support teams in data migration to/from various on-premises/cloud solutions (Azure Data Lake/SQL/PowerBI).
  • Assist in the design and implementation of strategic mobility platforms.
  • Act as a change champion for Digital Manufacturing.
  • Participate in the creation of functional and technical specifications, providing detailed business descriptions of changes and technical object-level details.
  • Work with platform and portfolio leaders to use the right toolset to support the application strategy of the portfolio and platforms, establishing Connected Shop Floor standards and reusable patterns for sharing data assets efficiently across business portfolios.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices within the Connected Shop Floor program, including Azure services, data integration, and OT platforms (SCADA/MES).
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing/Warehouse technology suppliers to design and implement solutions mitigating vulnerability for plant automation systems.
  • Help influence IT Managed Service performance and escalation, troubleshooting complex issues/efforts with other team members or cross-divisional teams.
  • Support the IT Managed Service for essential incident resolution.
  • Partner across IT and the business to support Agile application development, DevOps, and short-cycle iterations to achieve value.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in Information Technology (or equivalent role)
  • Hands-on experience supporting and engineering Microsoft Azure solutions and/or OT environments (Ignition/TrakSYS MES) preferred.
  • PowerBI or other dashboarding tool equivalent, with experience in advanced features and scripting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory preferred.
  • Previous experience with Manufacturing Automation environments (Operations Technology) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform and services (Azure Data Factory, Streaming Analytics, IOT Hub/Edge, etc.).
  • Ability to work with multiple internal company IT organizations.
  • Planning skills.
  • Problem-solving ability (troubleshooting, prioritization, and escalation skills).
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-changing environment.
