Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Learning for Biomedical Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) as a Postdoctoral Scholar in Machine Learning in Medicine.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead and collaborate on the development of machine learning methods applied to biomedical data, working closely with Dr. Corey Arnold and a cross-disciplinary team of faculty, staff, and trainees. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading independent research projects and supporting collaborative projects
* Authoring scientific publications and grant proposals
* Supervising trainees and maintaining research infrastructure
* Complying with UCLA guidelines for lab safety, animal research, and human subject research
* Developing and updating standard operating procedures and best practices for research projects
* Communicating effectively with team members, presenting findings and progress both verbally and in writing
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with expertise in the development and application of machine learning methods. A track record of publications as first author and experience in image analysis, preferably with medical images, are highly desirable.
