We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) as a researcher in machine learning for biomedical applications. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and apply machine learning methods to biomedical data.
Key Responsibilities- Lead independent research projects and collaborate with team members on various projects.
- Author scientific publications and grant proposals to secure funding for research initiatives.
- Supervise trainees and maintain research infrastructure to ensure efficient project execution.
- Comply with UCLA guidelines for lab safety, animal research, and human subject research to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures and best practices for research projects to ensure consistency and quality.
- Communicate effectively with team members, present findings and progress both verbally and in writing.
- PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Expertise in the development and application of machine learning methods.
- A track record of publications as first author.
- Experience in image analysis, preferably with medical images.
