As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for contributing to the preparation of the City's mid-year and annual budget, conducting comprehensive financial analyses, and analyzing departmental and citywide budgets for compliance with financial guidelines and City Policies and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct financial analyses, including development of recommendations for budget adjustments as necessary
Assist in reviewing data and research related to Council agenda staff reports
Analyze departmental and citywide budgets for compliance with financial guidelines and City Policies and Procedures
Gather and analyze data on existing programs; perform complex statistical analysis, conduct surveys, and prepare proposals, including financial policy and procedure requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
Two (2) years paraprofessional-level experience comparable to an Administrative Services Coordinator/Support Supervisor or Administrative Services Specialist, Senior with the City of Oxnard in area of assignment
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
