Job Overview
GENERAL SUMMARY:
This role operates with minimal oversight in a production setting, utilizing various resin systems to construct, fabricate, cure, and assemble diverse composite materials. The technician will work from engineering drawings and diagrams that may not provide exhaustive details for all tasks. Additionally, this position involves mentoring and guiding less experienced personnel.
Compensation: $35-45 per hour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, process sheets, and assembly drawings. Utilize hand tools to cut materials such as carbon, fiberglass, or Kevlar. Execute bonding tasks, including surface preparation and adhesive application. Conduct hand lamination of various composites, including carbon, glass, Kevlar, and foam or metallic cores. Possess knowledge of both prepreg systems and wet lay-up techniques. Familiarity with Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding (VARTM) processes. Carry out complete vacuum bag curing cycles, including monitoring instrumentation and oven operations. Document production data accurately on relevant logs and reports. Analyze production timelines and estimate labor hours needed for job completion, adjusting work procedures as necessary to meet deadlines. Collaborate with other supervisors to synchronize operational activities. Perform rework as necessary and rectify defective products identified during inspections. Adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures to maintain a secure working environment. May offer training and support to junior technicians. Propose enhancements to streamline and optimize processes. Promote and exemplify safety practices throughout the workplace. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.SUPERVISORY ROLE:
