Nutritionist I Job Summary

UTMB Health is seeking a skilled Nutritionist I to provide nutritional information and services to patients, families, and interest groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nutritional programs, coordinating with other health services as needed.
  • Evaluate patient nutritional care and provide follow-up continuity of care.
  • Instruct patients and families in nutritional principles, diet, food selection, and economics.
  • Provide consultation to and work with community groups, maintaining records of all individuals counseled.
  • Adhere to internal controls established for the department and perform related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; no experience required.
  • Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
Work Schedule:

Nights and weekends possible; must be willing to work until at least 6pm for clinic hours, with flexibility if client needs require later or weekends. Position requires travel for training and coverage; must be willing to travel.
