Nutrition Specialist

Nutritionist I provides expert nutritional guidance and services to patients, families, and community groups at UTMB Health.

• Develop and implement comprehensive nutritional programs to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide personalized nutrition counseling and education.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Conduct workshops and presentations on nutrition-related topics to promote health awareness.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and program evaluations.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nutrition, dietetics, or a related health science.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve program goals.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
