Position Summary:
The role of the Housekeeping staff is vital for the ongoing cleanliness of the venue, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment for entertainers, guests, patrons, and staff. This position is responsible for preparing the venue for events and maintaining its presentability at all times. Effective communication in a friendly and respectful manner with both colleagues and guests is essential. Team collaboration is crucial, as is the ability to provide consistent, timely, and accurate information while seeking assistance when necessary.

Compensation:
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $15 to $17.00.

Benefits:
Part-time employees are eligible for a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave for every 30 hours worked, accumulating up to 48 hours per year.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the facility's cleanliness and aesthetic appeal.
  • Regularly inspect restrooms for cleanliness and supply levels.
  • Execute daily cleaning tasks as per established checklists and confirm completion.
  • Identify and report any maintenance needs within the building.
  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas.
  • Utilize a communication device to relay event-related needs to other staff.
  • Perform cleaning duties in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Effectively manage post-event cleanup and waste disposal.
  • Operate cleaning machinery and utilize cleaning agents and sanitary supplies to uphold a clean and safe environment.
  • Conduct sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors, corridors, and stairwells. Clean restrooms thoroughly, including all fixtures and surfaces. Restock sanitary supplies as necessary. Clean additional designated areas post-events.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with supervisors.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance consistently.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to follow directions and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to execute instructions provided in various formats.
