About the Role

UF Health is seeking a dedicated Chaplain to oversee the Spiritual Care program, ensuring the needs of patients, visitors, and staff are met. This role involves providing spiritual support, collaborating with community clergy, and integrating spiritual care into the interdisciplinary plan of care.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Spiritual Care program, aligning with UF Health's mission and values.
  • Provide direct spiritual support to patients, families, and staff, addressing their emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate spiritual care into patient care plans.
  • Build relationships with community clergy and other spiritual care providers to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance spiritual care services.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Ordination/endorsement by a recognized ecclesiastical body.
  • Minimum 1 year of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
