Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing - Staff Development Coordinator

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a 5-star non-profit Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center with a strong focus on quality care. As the Assistant Director of Nursing and Staff Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical care and managing the Infection Control program. You will also lead staff development initiatives, ensuring that all nursing personnel are well-trained and up-to-date with regulatory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing day-to-day clinical operations and ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Lead and oversee the facility's Infection Control program, ensuring compliance with all applicable infection prevention protocols.
  • Develop and conduct staff training, including orientation, ongoing education, and competency assessments.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in both nursing care and infection control.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices in patient care and safety.
  • Assist with recruitment, staff retention, and development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state.
  • 2-3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-term Care setting.
  • Experience in Infection Control and staff development.
  • Strong understanding of nursing regulations, infection prevention, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing nursing staff.
