Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Nurse to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our quality management department, you will play a critical role in improving clinical effectiveness and ensuring our institution's readiness for Joint Commission surveys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality activities and monitor quality indicators for assessment of quality across the continuum of care.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms for ongoing data collection, analysis, and reporting of quality indicators.
  • Monitor appropriateness criteria and report data for specific procedures and services.
  • Develop performance improvement initiatives throughout the institution and support sustained performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support resource utilization and quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) with relevant experience.
  • Current West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Three to five years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting with responsibilities reflecting direct management of patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MSN, MPH, MPA) preferred.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in an office and hospital setting, requiring frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.

Skills and Abilities
