The Lighthouse Community Hospice Inc is seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice CNA/AIDE to join our team. As a Hospice CNA/AIDE, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting dignity and respect.
- Communication: Provide positive communication techniques to patients and families, ensuring confidentiality and respect.
- Safety and Hygiene: Meet safety needs of patients, using equipment safely and properly, and maintaining a clean and orderly living environment.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned.
- Wound Care: Provide proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent the breakdown of tissue over a bony prominence.
- Ambulation and Exercise: Assist patients with ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist.
- Medication Reminders: Assist with self-administered medications as allowed by state regulations.
- Light Laundry: Assist with light laundry needs as assigned.
- Range of Motion and Therapy: Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency.
- Documentation and Quality Assurance: Adhere to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct, participating in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
