Refugee Resettlement Specialist

Job Summary:
Catholic Charities Family and Community Services is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Refugee Post-Resettlement Case Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Refugee, Immigration, and Employment (RIES) department, you will provide transitional services to refugees and other eligible participants in the New York State Refugee Resettlement Assistance Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide information and referrals to clients regarding program services and eligibility.
- Screen potential clients for eligibility and complete program applications.
- Conduct needs assessments and provide direct assistance services, including counseling, advocacy, and intervention.
- Document service provision and maintain client casefiles.
- Enter and update client and program data in tracking platforms.
- Participate in quality assurance practices and prepare for internal and funder monitoring.
- Adhere to agency case management principles and program service delivery philosophy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
- Valid NYS Driver's License and use of a registered and reliable vehicle.
- At least one year of experience in the Human Services field and/or case management experience.
- Ability to speak English and at least one additional language is preferred.
Working Conditions:
The physical demands of this job require frequent sitting, talking, hearing, standing, walking, and use of hands to type and perform light lifting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
