The Role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our New Ventures team, responsible for executing our commercial strategy and objectives for FanDuel's expansion into new verticals. As a key member of the team, you will own the product's performance tracking, support budgeting and forecasting, and day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for monitoring business performance, spotting trends and criticalities, and reporting periodically to the leadership team. This is a highly collaborative role, and you will work closely with multiple functions within FanDuel, including Product, Acquisition and Retention Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop standardized reporting to monitor business performance of New Venture
* Monitor daily performance of New Venture and identify tactical levers to ensure delivery against monthly financial targets
* Perform analysis to derive insights that support business decisions for the New Venture
* Influence the creation, execution, and aftercare of improvement and optimization projects that benefit customers while considering profitability
* Analyze and recommend improvements to existing processes across various teams, including Marketing, Product, Data Engineering, and Customer Operations
* Be an expert of FanDuel New Venture customer experience end-to-end and continuously look for further improvements
* Develop a strong understanding of FanDuel's business, with a focus on emerging markets and trends, and the regulatory environment under which FanDuel and its competitors operate
* Continuously look for ways to improve FanDuel's competitive positioning
* As necessary, support the broader New Ventures team in the identification, assessment, and prioritization of new product and partnership opportunities

Requirements

* 3+ years' experience working in an analytical, technical, or commercial field preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis
* Proficiency in SQL and Tableau/data visualization required, experience with Python or R a plus
* Strong analytical proficiency and Excel-based modeling experience
* Strong executive presence, with experience presenting to senior leadership stakeholders
* Track record of transforming data into actionable insights and presentations
* Ability to take initiative and produce results in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment
* Effective at relationship building and sensitive to stakeholders' needs
* Experience working in the real-money gaming industry or in an adjacent industry preferred but not required
* Knowledge of and interest in sports and technology preferred; ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of the industry and company will be critical to success
